LIVE briefing on the conditional threat for supercells and isolated tornado across northern VA, central/eastern MD through the Delmarva Peninsula this evening! The main wave lifts into Quebec from the James Bay Region, but the southern fringe of stronger mid- and upper-level flow could ignite a supercell or two near/east of the Appalachians from northern VA into far southeastern PA. We also discuss the threat of early season SNOW across portions of CO/NM as depicted by the European model. The middle and long range diverge substantially between the models, with the Euro showing a cutoff system over the 4-corners region and the GPS ejecting a major trough through the central US. Both scenarios are associated with a vastly different threat of landfalling tropical cyclones in the USA. Hope you enjoy my weather reports!
