TORNADO OUTBREAK revisited! 10-year anniversary of April 19, 2011 storm chase.

10 years ago TODAY we intercepted two large tornadoes on two separate supercells in two states on April 19, 2011 as the most active month in recorded history for tornadoes was ramping up. Sadly both of these large tornadoes were quite damaging, with the one on the Illinois side rated EF2. An EF3 tornado touched down earlier along the warm front near Girard, IL as well. The first tornado was intercepted near Bowling Green, MO, then had to cross river on a barge to get to the Illinois supercells. Never stop chasing
